Chinlo was a male Chespin that Jared obtained in Part 1 as his starter Pokemon. Chinlo was one of Jared's longer lasting Pokemon, surviving a total of 13 parts.
As a Chespin: Chinlo was pretty good as a Chespin, being Jared's main go-to for water and rock pokemon. Some of Chinlo's main successes as a Chespin include finishing off Viola's Vivillon and defeating Tierno's Corphish.
As a Quilladin: Chinlo was decent as a Quilladin as well, still being good for water and rock pokemon, but also having help from Growrp . Some of Chinlo's main successes as a Quilladin include defeating Tierno's Corphish, Pikachu, and Flabebe and also defeating Swimmer Genevieve's Psyduck, killer of Pindil and Keeyot, and also defeating Gym Leader Grant's Amaura.
Chinlo met his fate in the same battle he killed Grant's Amaura. After Grant's Amaura was defeated, he sent out his Tyrunt. Chinlo attacked this Tyrunt with a Needle Arm, which did decent damage, and the Tyrunt responded with a Rock Tomb, which took away about 1/3 of Chinlo's health. The Rock Tomb had lowered Chinlo's speed, so the Tyrunt was now faster.
The Tyrunt then used Bite, leaving Chinlo with about 1/3 of his full health remaining, and Chinlo attacked back with a Needle Arm, nearly killing the Tyrunt. It was then, however, Grant healed his Tyrunt with a Hyper Potion, completely healing him. Chinlo attacked with Needle Arm, and then the Tyrunt attacked back with a Bite, which killed Chinlo.
