Double Dragon II Wander of the Dragon is so bad that Jared couldn't fit this into a One Minute Review.
This is the worst thing to happen to Double Dragon and is one of the worst beat 'em ups every made. It can't even get moving right! It is not possible to turn around quickly.
As well as punching and kicking, there is also a power punch and power kick, but the powered punch has the same animation as the regular punch. It doesn't feel any more useful. The powered kick doesn't work. It happens when it feels like, when Jared WASN'T holding the trigger! The elbow smash was vital in the original game to attack people behind the character. In this game, it goes wherever it feels like but never behind!
The only new or interesting thing in this game are the special moves. The hurricane kick is in it, and a few other moves. The super powers need to be built up with a super meter, so why is it that the entire meter disappears from nothing! Sometimes the ability to use these powers just comes back from nothing!
The game tells the player not to use them, using just one super move gives the player the bad ending! You get punished for having fun. The gameplay is not fun. The movements are jerky, the characters look ugly, and the females trying to look sexy just looks bad. Even the jiggle physics are bad!
None of the enemies are interesting. Also, the game is hard in an unfair way! You get knocked down repeatedly until you die! Why does the game have a stamina bar if the only thing that the characters do is punching and kicking dudes! Getting hit by an enemy loses stamina, and then you can't hit back because you're tired. Then you get knocked back down again, and this is repeated until you lose!
This game is a pathetic joke! It doesn't even have multiplayer online at all. This game deserves a 1 out of 10. It is atrocious. Jared would rather watch the movie!
