Synopsis[]

There was a lot of stuff that Jared didn't care about, along with Star Wars Battlefront, and other stuff they didn't show off very well.

A CGI trailer for the new Mass Effect game was shown off. It was an OK way to start. This was followed by Need for Speed, which doesn't appeal to Jared, but it looked fairly good. It showed some good gameplay footage. Star Wars: The Old Republic has a new expansion. The MMO is 'just OK'. The CG trailer was pretty, and he likes how the game will change depending on how the player plays.

The next game was Unravel. He didn't know what to think of this game at first, but as the trailer was going, it looks more unique. Jared likes this kind of game. Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is shown, which was weird. Now the zombies can be played as, which is cool. It didn't look very exciting. Too much time was spent on it.

Now we get into the sports section. They HAVE to do this every year, but it isn't appealing to watch. Jared just scribbled in his notes through this part. Using a phone to play is pretty good. This hoop god came out, and Jared welcomes him. Jared doesn't know who this guy is.

Jared didn't care at all about the mobile stuff. Jared doesn't understand the minions popularity. The guy from FIFA was also weird, as they didn't really focus on the game. Jared realizes that they say the same thing every year about their sports games.

Finally, Mirror's Edge was shown. This one sounds more promising than the previous game - but they didn't show any gameplay. There should have been more time spent on this game. More sports games were shown.

Finally, Star Wars Battlefront was shown. Jared has heard about the complaints, but there was a good demonstration (even though it was horribly scripted). It looks very promising. Jared talks about some of the sections he was excited to see. Jared thought it was an awesome demo and the only good thing about the conference.

Jared is happy that EA showed more gameplay footage, but they don't know how to make a good press conference, and Jared is thinking a D+ or C-. He settles with a D+. The press conference overall went far too long.
