Synopsis[]
Jared goes into a house that has been trashed. Jared is confused by the footprints in the house. Jared gets too excited, and puts Shammerham against a Machop. It looks good to start off with, but with the extra turn, Machop kills Shammerham! Jared finishes the battle, angry in Shammerham's loss. Shammerham is released. Jared is down to 3 and 1/4 Pokémon, and is really upset at Shammerham's loss.
Jared reaches route 5, and can catch a new Pokémon. He finds a Meowth. Jared tries to use Jeflump to confuse Meowth, but it doesn't work well. He puts Meowth to sleep to catch it with Nuptup.
He names it Narbles. Jared puts Jeflump into the day care. Jared finds a really small kid who wants to trade. Jared tells her to go home! Jared reaches route 6. Jared has a Meowth fight, and after one critical hit, Narbles is almost killed.
Jared embarrasses a couple by beating them both, but he wasn't expecting one of them to have a Pikachu! Lagiacrus is hit by a Hyper Fang, and is taken down to just one health! Jared desperately calls on Nuptup! Jared gets the old rod.
Jared enters the Diglett Cave, where he finds a Diglett. Jared uses Nuptup, but is shocked to find that he can't switch his team out, and is stuck with Nuptup! He tries throwing another PokéBall, and it works. Jared teleports out to heal. He heads back into Diglett's Cave. Jared forgets about Arena Trap, and realizes he has made a horrible mistake by leaving Narbles in first! Jared can't run, and he panics! Jared watches Narbles die helplessly, even though he tries to use potions.
Jared doesn't want to keep fighting, but has to, when suddenly, a Diglett uses Magnitude 10, and finishes off Lagiacrus!
