Jared finds a new monster to fight in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

Synopsis[]
Jared is playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on his 3DS. He is fighting a new monster that he has never seen before. A Rathian was causing trouble, and when Jared was about to get ready to finish her off, another dragon arrived and attacked the Rathian. They fought for a while and then the Rathian flew away, and now the Seregios took over. Jared will be in the desert at night, so he prepares some hot drinks. He goes into the battle with Bagoom and JumJum Jr. Jared goes to find him.
Jared has bought a paralysis sword, as it is the safest bet, as Jared doesn't know what it is weak to. The fight begins, and Jared jumps on top of it and attacks. Jared completes the sub-quest without even knowing what it was. Bagoom sets up some traps. Jared attacks, and as the Seregios shoots its scales at Jared, he tries to tempt it over to the trap. Jared gets dazed, but eventually the Sergois falls into the trap, allowing Jared to slice at its tail.
The Seregios is unpredictable in its movements. Jared gets hit by the Seregios' tail. Jared has started bleeding, and Jared has not come across this mechanic before! If Jared runs, he will take more damage now. Jared decides to heal, but he continues to bleed. He gets back into the fight by jumping onto it.
Jared manages to attack the Seregios' face. He is disappointed that his paralysis hasn't worked yet. The Seregios leaves, so Jared heals himself before going back after it again.
Jared finds the Seregios, and continues the fight. Jared gets kicked, and after attacking the feet, the Seregios gets angry. Jared manages to paralyze the Seregios, and deals some more damage. Other monsters have joined in the fight and get knocked down. Jared gets into some trouble, but he is OK as he heals. The Seregios charges, and Jared struggles to get attacks in. Jared tries to break its back scales by attacking on top of him, before attacking the horn again.
Jared gets worried as Seregios attacks and picks up Jum Jum Jr. Jared manages to blind the Seregios, but it appears that paralysis weapons were not a good choice. The Seregios flees. Jared doesn't think he is close to winning yet.
They continue to fight, and Jared gets a paralysis off. Jared blocks the scale throwing attack. Jared continues to attack from underneath, and the Seregios tries to escape but is knocked over.
The Seregios is killed, and Jared wins. Jared congratulates Jum Jum Jr. and Bagoom. The quest is complete, and Jared looks at the items he has won. Jared talks to the people in the village and finds out about some of the new mechanics of the game. He looks at the new weapons and armor that are now available to him.
